APPROACHES TO HEALING

When working with clients, I seek to develop a culturally sensitive, individualized and collaborative action plan to facilitate the process of recovery. Identifying as a Dialectical Behavioral Therapist and embodying a therapeutic approach that draws primarily from DBT, I also often integrate elements of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and experiential and creative arts whenever possible. Ultimately, my long-term goals include further research on effective treatments for attachment and trauma.

While my niche is Borderline Personality Disorder, my experience also includes treating individuals who present with:

  • Grief

  • Interpersonal Conflict

  • Identity Concerns

  • Sexuality & LGBT Concerns

  • Mood Disorders

  • Self-Esteem

  • Self-Harm & Suicidal Ideation

  • Social Skills

  • Women's Issues

  • Adjustment Disorders

  • Alternative Lifestyle Concerns

  • Anger Management

  • Anxiety

  • Bipolar Disorder

  • Borderline Personality Disorder

  • Communication Issues

  • Disordered Eating Patterns

  • Emotional Dysregulation
